Hello My Name Is

Name: Kevin Tomaszek
From: Montville, Connecticut
School: School of Education
Major: Secondary chemistry education

What convinced you to go to BU?

BU was my top choice of the schools I got into. It has a great campus and awesome location. There is so much to do around the area, and I will have several friends in the vicinity at other Boston schools.

What are you most excited about coming to college?

I’m excited to be away, on my own, with all new people, while still being able to talk to friends and family from home.

What course are you most interested in taking?

I want to take a photography or a lighting design course because I love photography and I love the theater, specifically the technical aspect.

What kinds of activities do you want to become involved in?

Student government and possibly some intramural sports and the theater.

What will you miss most about home?

The feeling of family I had in high school, because in one course we’d been together for two years with the same people and teachers so it will be hard leaving all those friends, many of whom plan to go to the University of Connecticut.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

The impact I made in theater and student government at my high school.

Why did you want to become involved in the Facebook site BU2010?

I hoped to get to know a lot of incoming freshmen before I get up there so it will be easier to transfer to the city. I’ve met a few freshmen and upper classmen from SED so it will be fun to meet more. I hope to get to know more people over the summer.
