Anne Harley

Anne Harley (CFA’94,’96,’06) of Claremont, Calif., announces a new 30-minute choral cycle, True Witness, which sets to music the letters, speeches, and poems of African American female poets, activists, and leaders. The original work was conceived by Anne and composed by former BU College of Fine Arts lecturer Jodi Goble. Its premiere at Scripps College in November 2013 marked the 150th anniversary of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th anniversary of the assassination of civil rights activist Medgar Evers.
