Brian P. Dyer

Brian P. Dyer (MET’13) of Warwick, R.I., was promoted to sergeant in the Providence police department. He was one of only 12 officers who were promoted on February 27, 2019, by Mayor Jorge O. Elorza during a ceremony at city hall. Brian joined the department in 2007 as a patrolman. He served as an officer in the patrol and housing divisions before being promoted to detective in 2014. He also is a special deputy US marshal with the FBI Exploited Children Task Force. He lives with his wife, Kathleen, and sons James and Luke.
