Claire McKinley

Claire McKinley (CAS’12) of Portland, Ore., earned a PhD in oceanography at Texas A&M University. She defended her dissertation, “Assessment of Sequential Extractions: Implications for Isotopic Composition of Authigenic Oxides and Detrital Residues as Paleoceanographic Proxies,” in spring 2018. Her dissertation is dedicated to Jane Willenbring (GRS’02) and Jennifer Lamp (GRS’16). She has started a postdoctoral research position, funded by the Center for Dark Energy Biosphere Investigations postdoctoral fellowship, at the University of Washington.
