Cynthia Emiry Roy
Cynthia Emiry Roy (MET’94) of Danbury, Conn., an expert in end-of-life and palliative care, has been president and CEO of Regional Hospice since 2007. In 2010, she helped reinvent Connecticut state regulations for inpatient hospice care. She also spearheaded and oversaw construction of a $15 million, 36,000-square-foot private suite hospice facility, the Center for Comfort Care & Healing, which opened in 2015. Regional Hospice is embarking on a children’s hospice expansion. The North Star pavilion will be the first dedicated children’s hospice unit in the Northeast and the fifth in the nation. Over the years, she’s been recognized with many business awards for female entrepreneurs and executives. After receiving a bachelor’s degree at BU, she earned a master’s in social work from Columbia University.
