Cynthia Jorgensen

Cynthia Jorgensen (UNI’81,’82) of Atlanta, Ga., was honored by the Prevent Cancer Foundation for her work in cancer prevention and early detection. Cynthia is the lead for education, training, and communication at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) division of viral hepatitis, where she is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Know More Hepatitis C campaign and the Know Hepatitis B national multimedia education campaign. She has worked at the CDC for 30 years. She is also an adjunct associate professor at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
