Ed Meadows
Ed Meadows (DGE’70, CAS’72) of Saint Simons Island, Ga., retired after a 40-year career in land conservation and natural resource management. He held top executive positions in Maine and Michigan, including director of the Maine department of conservation. He and his wife, Alison, have been married for 38 years and live in Saint Simons Island in the winter and in Maine in the summer. Ed continues to be active in civic work. He oversees grants from the Ed Meadows Conservation Fund of the Maine Community Foundation, and is an appointed member of the Islands Planning Commission for Saint Simons Island. He was one of the first graduates of the BU program in independent study in environmental science. He would love to hear from DGE and CAS classmates at avocet2014@yahoo.com.
