Class of: 2019
Emma Schlauder
Emma Schlauder (CAS’19) of South Glastonbury, Conn., received an Open Study/Research Fulbright Award, which has allowed her to study at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom for one year. She is pursuing an MSc in human osteology and funerary archaeology, a program unique to the University of Sheffield. It combines scientific and cultural studies of grave contexts. “This subject is rarely available for even minimal study in the United States due to its colonial past,” Emma writes. “Ultimately, I will gain a doctorate in museum studies in order to pursue a career in that field.”
