Helene DeMontreux Houston (SON’86) of Springfield, Mass., writes, “I was fortunate to receive my master’s in psychiatric nursing in 1986 before the School of Nursing was closed. That degree has served me well, and I continue to practice in Springfield at the age of 73. I am excited to share the news of my second book with Patricia Peters Martin, Well-Come to Retirement: Thriving in Your Third Act (Norlights Press, 2018). It focuses on the eight dimensions of wellness, as we share the inspiring stories of 40 older people who have succeeded in achieving wellness while pursuing life full speed ahead. With the aging population and huge number of baby boomers, I feel there will be interest in this topic among our community.”
