Jennifer Helfand
Jennifer Helfand (Wheelock’12) of Narberth, Pa., writes, “Dreams come true. In 2018, I started a round-the-world backpacking adventure, visiting old friends (many of whom I’d met through my work teaching English as a second language) and meeting new friends in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Indonesia, and Singapore. Just before I set off, I published my first two books [under the pen name Jordana Chana Mayim]: Nikolas and the Misfit Shapes Find Their Place (Mosaic Street Press, 2017), a picture book for children and adults about the beauty of diversity, and The Life of Zerah (Mosaic Street Press, 2018), an illustrated spiritual allegory about a seed who wants to become a tree in the hopes of finding love. I recently started a blog, Keep Walking, about depression, bipolar disorder, and how I got better (www.jordanamayim.com/blog-keep-walking).”
