Karyn Alzayer

Karyn Alzayer (CFA’09) of Malden, Mass., is an artist, an activist, and a teacher who made headlines in Boston last summer for her protest piece, which added internment camp cages over the famous and beloved Make Way for Ducklings sculpture in Boston’s Public Garden. Through her piece, Karyn hoped to contribute to a national conversation about family separation and the treatment of immigrants and refugees at the US border. She is the founder of the nonprofit Integral Arts Everett, which spearheads local arts initiatives in and around Everett, Mass.
