Laura Kohl
Laura Kohl (CAS’99) of North Kingstown, R.I., is director of library services at Bryant University, and serves as the anthropology liaison to faculty because of her love of the subject, which she says she developed at BU. She also won an inaugural FYE (First-Year Experience) Innovation Award from Credo Reference in February 2018 for helping design and implement Bryant’s First-Year Gateway Program, a 13-credit program that uses learning outcomes assessment data in a curriculum to develop critical thinking and professional skills. In addition, Laura was part of a four-person team that won a Blackboard Inc. Catalyst Award for Student Success, which “recognizes individuals and/or institutions whose creative program application has led to increased retention, increased completion, and/or improved outcomes.”
