Lawrence Levy

Lawrence Levy (COM’72) of Rockville Centre, N.Y., was promoted to vice president for economic development and professional studies at Hofstra University. He also is executive dean of Hofstra’s National Center for Suburban Studies, which he founded 12 years ago. Previously, Larry was chief political columnist and senior editorial writer at Newsday. In his 31 years at the news organization, Larry won many of journalism’s top prizes and was a Pulitzer finalist. At BU, Larry was a founding editor of the Daily Free Press and pitched varsity baseball for three years. Contact him at oldpitch@aol.com.
