Lonna Baum

Lonna Baum (Sargent’68) of Livonia, Mich., writes, “While working in physical therapy, I presented a disability awareness program to first- and second-grade students once a month to promote an understanding of differences and cut down bullying. When I retired, I decided
to put some of these lessons on paper.
My first book, Monty the Menace (2012), about vision, was self-published, but I recently found a publisher that took over
this book and published my second book,
Patti the Pest (Rowe Publishing, 2019), about hearing. My third book, Freddy’s No Fun? (Rowe Publishing, 2019), about mobility, was published in September. I have had great fun interacting with and reading to children.”
