Maddie (Kamin) Murphy
Maddie (Kamin) Murphy (CGS’08, COM’10) and Mike Murphy (COM’09) of Somerville, Mass., met on October 6, 2006, a month into Maddie’s freshman year. Both were living on the 12th floor of Rich Hall when Mike and his friends invited Maddie and a friend to hang out with them that Friday night. “Mike and I had an instant, undeniable connection, and I could tell that night had changed my life forever,” Maddie writes. “We were together for all four years of college, did several years of long distance after I graduated (traveling back and forth from Boston and New York City), until I moved to Boston in October 2012 to live with him. He proposed to me 10 months later on the BU campus. We ate dinner at the West Campus dining hall that night, right after I said yes. We got married in 2014, bought a house in 2016, and are now expecting our first child.”
