Mary McManus

Mary McManus (COM’76) of Chestnut Hill, Mass., independently published The Adventures of Runnergirl 1953. She had a book launch on April 6, 2019, at the store Paper Fiesta on Mile 10 of the Boston Marathon route. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Mary’s Boston Marathon run. She writes that the book takes readers on her “healing odyssey, from a wheelchair to the finish line of the 2009 Boston Marathon and beyond” after a diagnosis of post-polio syndrome in December 2006.
