Nathan Suher
Nathan Suher (COM’98) of Seekonk, Mass., directed his first feature-length, independent film, Higher Methods. The film had a special screening at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center in Foxborough, Mass., on September 28, 2018. Nathan describes the film as “a psychological mystery thriller in the great traditions of Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, and Darren Aronofsky.” The film follows the twisted tale of Matt, an actor whose sister has gone missing. Matt’s frantic search for his lost sibling, last seen in silent cameo in an unknown film, leads him to a fanatical theater group, whose leader employs horrifying and, ultimately, maddening methods to teach the art of performance. “I had been searching for over eight years for a feature-length script that I connected with and felt was both worthy of producing and exciting—like nothing else I had ever read,” Nathan says. Nathan has been working as a producer and director in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the last decade. Contact him at nathan@imfilmworks.com.
