Nicholas Porter
Nicholas Porter (CAS’14) of Pasadena, Calif., writes, “In mid-February 2019, I earned a PhD in biological chemistry under professor David W. Christianson at the University of Pennsylvania. In May 2019, I started as one of 25 Helen Hay Whitney Foundation postdoctoral fellows, selected from an international pool of applicants. During this fellowship, I will be pursuing research at Caltech under professor Frances Arnold, the recipient of the 2018 Nobel Prize in chemistry for her work on the directed evolution of enzymes.”
