Peter Bloom

Peter Bloom (CAS’72) of Somerville, Mass., is a flutist who continued his long tenure with the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, led by founder and music director Mark Harvey (STH’71, GRS’83). Aardvark celebrated its 46th season and released its 15th CD, Democratic Vistas (Leo Records, 2018). Peter is featured on another new CD, from Navona Records, titled Butterfly Effects and Other Works by Elizabeth Vercoe (CFA’78). In November 2018, Peter performed in seven cities across the South with his trio Ensemble Aubade. Peter marked his 33rd season with Ensemble Chaconne with concerts in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
