Poppy Helgren (Wheelock’92) of Henderson, Nev., is researching elder guardianship abuse for a book that will be dedicated to her 90-year-old father. “He was a survivor of the Great Depression in the South who worked hard to climb out of poverty, only to have his property liquidated by a system with few checks and balances.”
