Ravi Parent (ENG’18) of Bradenton, Fla., writes, “After graduation I committed to a full-time Olympic campaign in the Nacra 17 sailing class. As a member of the United States Sailing Team, I am training to qualify for and win Olympic gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. By embarking on this journey, I am converting my passion for the sport of sailing into a full career. As this sport is quite technical, I’m excited to use my aerospace engineering background from BU on a daily basis. In the United States, sailing is an underpublicized sport, and we even have one of the nation’s most accomplished sailing teams at BU!
