Rhonda J. Miller
Rhonda J. Miller (COM’73) of Bowling Green, Ky., is a reporter and producer at WKU Public Radio, based at Western Kentucky University. She earned a master’s degree in media studies at Rhode Island College in 2013, and teaches online courses in writing and podcasting for the Creative Nonfiction Foundation in Pittsburgh. Now, more than ever, she finds it essential to remind people that “media” is not the same as “journalism” and that journalism is a foundation of democracy. She writes that she “has three grown daughters who live in three wonderful US cities, and fortunately one of them is Boston and that means frequent trips to her favorite city.” To immerse herself in Kentucky culture, she’s enjoying group guitar lessons at the International Bluegrass Music Museum.
