Sara Pearson
Sara Pearson (GRS’02,’08) of Langley, British Columbia, Canada, completed a PhD on Charlotte Brontë in 2008. Since then, she writes, “I’ve had several amazing opportunities to share my love of the Brontës and literature. Most recently, in June 2018, I delivered a talk on Charlotte Brontë to a public audience in Poets’ Corner in Westminster Abbey, London, as part of a series on Anglican women novelists. It was an amazing venue in which to speak. I’ve also coauthored a book with Brontë scholar Christine Alexander, Celebrating Charlotte Brontë: Transforming Life into Literature in Jane Eyre (Brontë Society, 2016). The book was a labor of love, designed with quality scholarship, accessible prose, and numerous color illustrations in order to illuminate Jane Eyre through the lens of Brontë’s life and cultural moment in history.” Sara is an associate professor of English at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia, and lives with her husband, Ken, in a rural cottage on a horse farm.
