Shari Davis
Shari Davis (Sargent’10,’12) of Oakland, Calif., was named a 2019 Obama Fellow by the Obama Foundation. She is one of just 20 people around the world to receive the honor. Fellows complete a two-year, nonresidential program “designed to amplify the impact of their work and inspire a wave of civic innovation.” She is the coexecutive director of the Participatory Budgeting Project, a nonprofit organization that enables people to come together to decide how to spend public money. Shari is using the fellowship to take on the challenge of how to better spend the public funds used for our schools, healthcare, and more. Learn more about the honor at www.obama.org/fellowship.
