Assistant Director of Communications

Emily (White) Holmes has been a member of the CFA Communications team since 2017, first as Communications Manager, and most recently in the role of Assistant Director. Among Emily’s responsibilities are overseeing the dynamic and multifaceted visual and narrative campaigns of the College of Fine Arts. Favorite projects in this role include managing storytelling and working closely with the editor onĀ  the production of CFA, the College’s award-winning biannual publication, maintaining and implementing CFA’s brand identity, and exploring the mosaic of stories of the people of the College of Fine Arts to then share them with the world.

Prior to entering the realm of CFA, Emily was the Director of Communications at Saint John’s High School in Central Massachusetts. Her career has followed a path driven by her love of the arts, education, and community-centric organizations. Emily previously worked at the Worcester Art Museum on a variety of community outreach and design projects.

She is inspired by storytelling of all kinds and mediums, and especially loves immersing herself in the stories and work of artists shaping our world. Emily received her BA in History and Studio Art from the College of the Holy Cross, where she explored writing, printmaking, drawing, figure painting, bookmaking, and the development of visual narratives. Emily lives in Worcester with her husband and energetic dog Lennon.
