Careers in the arts rarely fit into uniform boxes, making many art students feel that career services at their university may not be as applicable to their experiences. The College of Fine Arts has partnered with the Center for Career Development to tailor a workshop series to artists. In this series, you will discover CCD resources, unique resume building and LinkedIn set ups, as well as how to assess the skills your art gives you to see how they apply to other jobs, especially given the difficulties artists face in the wake of COVID. We want to help prepare you for whatever the world, in its current state, holds for you, whether that be a temporary departure from the arts to get through the pandemic, or finding arts-based jobs you may not have thought of yet. The CCD has something for everyone. Let them help guide you on your path.<\/p>\n

All sessions of this series will be recorded. If you are unable to attend a session, they will be posted for you to view.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThe pandemic has hit the creative sector hard and with artists in need of pivoting to a new career. It is important to understand what skills artists have that can easily be transferred to another industry. This workshop is for CFA students only where students will identify transferable skills and brainstorm industries that one can apply to.
