The concert was the capstone experience for graduating seniors and  a select group of graduate students. Performers were selected after participating in a School of Music competition, when each applied study program (voice, strings, keyboard, woodwinds, brass, and percussion) held preliminary auditions open to student performers. class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2>Beyond the Classroom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">As a social justice fellow,&nbsp;<strong>Sadie Habas (CFA\u201925)<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/id-andrea.cms-devl.bu.edu\/cfa\/academics\/degrees-programs\/performance\/bm\/\">vocal performance major<\/a>&nbsp;and political science minor, gives back to the community by interning for&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hillel\/\" target=\"_blank\">BU Hillel<\/a>, the center for Jewish life at BU. Through the internship, Sadie volunteers at Haley House, a non-profit organization that helps feed under-resourced communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-bu-pullquote is-style- has-image-focus-center-middle has-quaternary-theme\"><div class=\"wp-block-bu-pullquote-inner\"><figure><\/figure><blockquote><div class=\"container-lockup\"><div class=\"container-icon-outer\"><div class=\"container-icon-inner\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"container-text\"><hr\/><div class=\"quote-sizing\">I hope to continue to explore the intersectionalities between music and justice and use my voice in society to better it and make it fair and just for all people.<\/div><footer class=\"caption\"><br\/>Sadie Habas (CFA&#8217;25)<\/footer><hr\/><\/div><\/div><\/blockquote><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">Sadie has also been able to explore her Jewish identity and recognize how her voice training has helped her become a strong communicator.
