Mozart\u2019s Classic Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em> on Stage at Tsai Performance Center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The production bills itself as a \u201crom-com psychodrama,\u201d mining the libretto and score not only for the opera\u2019s sadness and heartbreak, but for its humor as well, proclaiming that \u201cat the intersection of love and lust resides a coming-of-age story about the battle between na\u00efvet\u00e9 and experience.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn our production, we\u2019re trying to go a little bit more into the whole concept of them learning how to love, learning how to have relationships with other people,\u201d says Gabrielle Barkidjija (CFA\u201922), who plays Dorabella. \u201cInstead of playing into the whole idea that the women are just ignorant of the whole situation, what we\u2019re trying to do in this production is to dive into the relationships between all the characters and how they change over the course of the opera.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
