This concert presented by Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Music at New York City\u2019s renowned concert venue spotlights a select group of student performers who participated in a multi-stage competition and selection process run by BU School of Music to secure a spot.<\/p>\n<p><span><div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" id=\"pink\" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Performer Selection Process<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The performers for the spring 2024 concert were selected after participating in a competition in the fall of 2023, when each applied department within BU School of Music (Voice, Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion) held preliminary auditions open to seniors and graduate student performers. Finalists selected from each department competed before a panel of outside adjudicators, all renowned performing musicians. Finally, a slate of performers and a program was crafted under the curatorship of the director of the School of Music, <a href=\"http:\/\/id-andrea.cms-devl.bu.edu\/cfa\/about\/contact-directions\/directory\/gregory-melchor-barz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gregory Melchor-Barz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These exceptional BU musicians will take to the stage that has hosted world-class, top tier soloists and performing groups from prestigious musical organizations who regularly perform in Carnegie\u2019s various concert series.
