Be sure to check the compliance tab on your portal and resolve any compliance issues before registration opens. If you are out of compliance with any University requirements, you will not be permitted to register until the issue is resolved. Students must be registered for every semester during the academic year until all degree requirements have been met, unless granted a\u00a0<\/span>leave of absence<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Planner \u2013 an online tool that allows you to create and modify your schedule before registering for the courses \u2013 enables you to add classes to a draft schedule before registration opens. To access the planner, go to the\u00a0<\/span>MyBUStudentPortal<\/a>, click \u201cRegistration Planner\u201d from the main page options. You can then search for, and add courses to your Planner.<\/p>\n Registration Procedure:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Full time for undergraduates: 12-18 credits.<\/p>\n International students are only able to go part time in their final semester.<\/p>\n Students taking under 12 credits will pay per credit. Talk with Beth before dropping to part time\u2014there are considerations as to\u00a0how this may affect financial aid, housing, and international student status.<\/p>\n Students in MFA programs pay a set full-time rate, but students in the MA in Art Education and MA in Studio Teaching programs pay per-credit, and the rate changes based on whether the course is in the evening or the daytime.<\/p>\n Graduate Tuition and Financial Aid<\/a><\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n School of Visual Arts students are able to receive two credits for an internship by registering for CFA AR572 Internship during the semester in which they are completing an internship.<\/p>\n For more information on the requirements for the Internship course, please review the Internships for Credit<\/a> page.<\/p>\n Students who declare the Arts Leadership<\/a> minor are required to take CFA FA550, Arts Internship, for four credits. \u00a0Arts Leadership students should contact Brendan Hoey<\/a> with questions about the internship requirement for the minor.<\/p>\n International students who are offered paid or unpaid off-campus work related to their major can enroll in CFA AR572 in order to receive CPT authorization.\u00a0 For more information on CPT, contact ISSO<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n The School of Visual Arts\u00a0has many students who pursue a\u00a0Dual Degree between CFA and other schools at BU.<\/p>\n Students can apply for a Dual Degree after they are already enrolled at BU. If you are interested in doing so, speak with the Director of Undergraduate Student Services\u00a0in the CFA Dean\u2019s Office and also with an advisor in the COM\/CAS department you would like to major in.
