He earned his Ph. D. in Historical Musicology at Boston University (GRS\u201914), and holds a BM in piano performance and an MA in Musicology from the Catholic University of America (BTR\u201903, BTR\u201906).<\/p>\n<p>Alexandre is currently a Professor of Music at West Chester University, and has given papers on the works of Artie Shaw and Stephen Sondheim at multiple national and international conferences. In addition to various academic pursuits, Alexandre is an active solo and ensemble performer in Washington, D.
