
Laura Peters
Doctoral Student
Laura Peters is a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies program at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. An experienced special education, STEAM, and computer science teacher, Laura has taught in both California and Massachusetts. She is a STEAM and Robotics teacher at Somerville High School.
Previously, Laura spent three years as a research project manager for the Creative Computing Lab at Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she developed curriculum, led professional development, and conducted research into best practices in K–12 computing education. She was awarded the Cognizant Innovation in Computer Science Education award and the CSTA New England Computer Science Teaching Excellence Award.
