Lauren Funk is a doctoral student in curriculum & teaching with a concentration in social studies education at BU Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Her research interests include teacher decisionmaking, civic engagement, historical inquiry, trauma studies, and critical sociohistorical consciousness. She has taught social studies courses in various grades at the secondary level and is currently a high school history teacher.
