
Mitali Temurnikar
Doctoral Student
Mitali Temurnikar is a doctoral student in counseling psychology at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Her research focuses on developing scalable interventions for career and personal development, as well as increasing access and awareness of mental healthcare in marginalized populations. She is interested in exploring the usefulness of artificial intelligence and positive mentoring relationships to help people make more effective career decisions.
At BU Wheelock, Mitali works at the Center for Future Readiness, where she is involved in initiatives to improve education systems and organizations by designing career and workforce development programs. Her work is firmly grounded in the practical application of innovative solutions to address existing gaps in access and advocacy in the field.
As a master’s student, Mitali worked in a trauma-informed mental health clinic in her first year and in career counseling during her second year. Her research focused on culturally responsive career development interventions and psychological safety. She received an award for excellence in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
