
Sen Wang
Research Assistant Professor, Wheelock Institute for the Science of Education
Dr. Sen Wang is a research assistant professor at Wheelock Institute for the Science of Education (WISE) in Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Dr. Wang specializes in investigating the influence of environmental factors on children’s language and literacy development and exploring interventions that can enhance children’s language and literacy development. Dr. Wang’s particular interest lies in using technology to bolster children’s language and literacy development in content-rich reading materials.
Dr. Wang currently leads resource review and development for the National Center on Improving Literacy (NCIL), funded by the United States Department of Education. Dr. Wang also guides text creation for several projects, leveraging technology and content-rich reading materials to enhance student learning, including an IES-funded project to develop a Tier 3 reading intervention in early elementary school. Dr. Wang worked as a research assistant at the Florida Center for Reading Research before joining Boston University.
