This checklist will help you plan your next steps as a new master’s or CAGS student in the BU Wheelock community. The Graduate Admissions team is here to support you as you move forward with this process and will be emailing you additional information as your starting semester approaches.<\/p>\n

Accept your offer of admission<\/h3>

Accept your offer of admission and submit your non-refundable, $200 tuition deposit online to secure your place in your program! (You should receive an email with instructions).

Create a BU login<\/h3>

\nFor access to BU\u2019s webmail and other internet services, students need to have a login name and Kerberos password. This account will help in contacting your advisor and registering for classes. Detailed information will be sent to you from Graduate Admissions when you accept your offer of admission and pay the $200 tuition deposit. Once you create your account, please remember to check your BU email regularly as this will be your primary email account for the University. You may set up email forwarding to another email account. It can be accessed at\u00a0<\/span>www.bu.edu\/webmail<\/a>.

Connect with your advisor<\/h3>

\nYour advisor will be able to guide you with course selection, academic interests, and more. In addition, discuss with your advisor the recommended start term for your program. Some programs recommend a summer start instead of a fall start. Watch this video<\/a> to learn how to find your advisor.

Register for classes<\/h3>

\nTo register for classes, visit StudentLink<\/a>. Click on \u2018Academics\u2019 and then \u2018Registration.\u2019 Note: If you wish to withdraw after registering for classes, you must contact the Data & Enrollment Management Office (wherec@bu.edu<\/a>). You cannot fully withdraw from all of your courses online. For additional information on adding and dropping classes, watch this video<\/a>.

Find housing and roommates<\/h3>

\nStart your housing search in the new graduate housing website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you need a roommate, our office conducts a housing and roommate survey in late spring each year and distributes the results to everyone who opts in. This can help you team up with other grad students to seek housing. Look for that email to arrive in your inbox this spring with more information.<\/p>\n

University-owned apartments and graduate housing<\/strong>: <\/strong>BU Real Estate <\/a>leases, manages and maintains residential apartments, a limited number of parking spaces, and commercial property owned by Boston University. Residential apartments are leased to full-time Boston University graduate students, faculty and staff only.

\nAll incoming BU students must provide medical health history and immunization records before arriving on campus. Failing to submit your health history information by the start of school may jeopardize your enrollment status. Use the\u00a0patient connect portal<\/a>\u00a0to get started.
