Brit&#8217;s research interests focus on developing STEM teacher candidates\u2019 abilities as activists for social change within their classrooms and community. This includes how teachers can sustain transformative teaching practices given the constraints of the US education system while disrupting dominant discourses to imagine a more just future. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Before joining BU Wheelock, Brit was a high school mathematics teacher in Chicago-area public schools.
