25th Anniversary Gala for Boston University Academy
A 25th anniversary gala to celebrate the founding of Boston University Academy was held May 5 at the State Room in Boston. The BUA was an “educational experiment” begun by John Silber (Hon.’95), then BU president, in 1993 to provide the intellectual challenge lacking in many high schools. BUA music and drama students performed A Day in the Life, an expressionistic representation of the day of BUA students, written especially for the gala by BUA music instructor Brett Abigaña.
