Female Mayors
The Initiative on Cities invited three women Bay State mayors to participate in Women’s Political Empowerment a Century after the 19th Amendment: Reflections by Women Mayors on September 17. Virginia Sapiro (from left), a CAS professor of political science, moderated the discussion with Donna Holaday (GRS’79), mayor of Newburyport, Ruthanne Fuller, mayor of Newton, and Yvonne Spicer, mayor of Framingham. Among other things, the mayors discussed gender equality in politics.
